#one of my favorite tyrion lines #also one that’s not quoted nearly enough #I always want to point this line out when people seem surprised by tyrion’s bravery at the battle of the blackwater #as if tyrion has never exhibited bravery before that moment #I mean the fact that tyrion can even bring himself to say this line #and to mean it I think #is testament to the fact that tyrion is well acquainted with bravery #it takes a certain sort of tenacity at least #to continually choose life when the general consensus #(one shared to some extent even by your own brother) #is that you should be better off dead #that’s pretty much westeros’ estimation of EVERYONE with a disability tbh #live as a cripple? #a grotesque?#certainly they would rather die #and so should tyrion feel #but nope #not only is tyrion going to survive #but he’ll be damned if he’s not going to have some fun doing it too #and isn’t that just a slap in the face #to the whole notion that he should never have been born?#idk but I think it takes quite a bit of bravery to enjoy living when you’ve been told that you shouldn’t #that you can’t #one of the reasons I find tyrion admirable right there man
