teen wolf meme - six otps [1/5]

 ▻ Scott/Isaac

“I don’t want YOU to get hurt”
Just on a physical note: I love how Scott, the shorter one by far, is the more assertive, mature one while Isaac is just this sweet, shy kid. They’re both such puppies though.

Anonymous asked: alright I might sound stupid but are Derek and Stiles actually "into" eachother? I dont watch the show...but is that just something the fandom made up, thier romance? sorry for my nooby-ness. -____-

Short answer is no, not canonically, not yet, but the reason they’re so widely shipped is because their on-screen chemistry is amazing. I don’t ship them strictly as a romantic pairing, either - I just love seeing them interact and want them to be real friends so badly (they already are, imo, they just don’t quite realize it yet), and for two characters who start out really sort of disliking each other and not trusting one another, they’ve saved each other an absurd number of times. As the show goes on you really see them starting to acclimatize to one another and it’s such a subtle progression that it’s really a joy to watch (Derek’s expressions towards Stiles change pretty drastically from the pilot to the latest episode of season 2). One thing I find really cool is that the cast members/showrunners have said that Derek and Stiles have something like a 50/50 chance at this point of actually becoming a canonical pairing. You could argue that this is in part due to its massive popularity rather than what was originally planned for the show, but the fact that the showrunners take it into account and actually see potential for them as a romantic pair in the future is pretty awesome, especially a pair of guys who haven’t been shown to be attracted to men (if they did get together, I think it’d make a pretty awesome statement for the fluidity of sexual orientation, and probably solidify TW as one of my favorite shows ever).
