Emotions are reserved for sentient beings. Aya is a computer. A computer with Ilana’s face, which makes things infinitely more difficult for him, but a computer nonetheless. It shouldn’t hurt as much as it does, the thought of an Aya with her higher functions deleted. Computers shouldn’t be able to ask him about his day, or concern themselves with his emotional state, or compose new Lantern Oaths to make him feel better. Computers shouldn’t make him feel like he’d swallowed sunlight. But it doesn’t matter. All Razer knows is that if Drusa changed Aya in any way, harmed a single circuit in her head, there would be hell to pay.
